French language sessions for you and your little one

All About Our Program
My Parent & Moi (formely Mommy & Moi) program is an introductory approach to French language and culture for parents/guardians and toddlers in a warm, loving, and supportive environment. Diverse and hands-on educational activities are specifically designed to engage toddlers and get them acquainted with a foreign language at a time that is key to their language acquisition. Parents will be able to discover alongside their children what tools they can use to engage them in a creative way.
Each session includes playtime, storytime, arts and crafts, dancing and singing games, as well as a short break in the middle of the session. Each activity is planned with the goal to introduce as much French vocabulary as possible.
My Parent & Moi sessions are held separately from regular classes on campus, and is open for toddlers between the ages of 12 and 36 months old.
Our Instructor
Sandrine Imler
Sandrine Imler was born in Paris, France, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. She spent ten years working in an advertising agency and in human resources in France. Since 1998, she has been living in California, raising her three children with her husband, who are now young adults.
Sandrine is passionate about art, crafts, sewing, yoga, and cooking. She has been featured in various shows for her acrylic paintings and sewing projects. She also makes dance costumes for competitive dancers. She is actually working for Thermomix as a consultant.
For the past 20 years, Sandrine has been actively involved with the French association “OCA Accueil”, where she was responsible for the newsletter, and advertising, and now welcomes new members.
Sandrine loves being around children and helps many families with their kids in their busy schedules. She has also taught French classes to young children and high school students.

Do I need to speak/understand French to attend your classes? What about my child(ren)?
No, you do not need to speak French; My Parent & Moi is a first approach to another language and culture for both you and your child.

Can I bring my newborn along to a class with my older child?
Yes, one parent can come to class with both children. We also welcome any nannies, friends or family to help.

I have twins. Can I come alone to class with both of them?
Yes, but we suggest bringing someone along to help so that you and your children may fully benefit from the class.

I have no children enrolled at the International School of Orange County. Can I still take the My Parent & Moi classes?
Yes, we welcome all families to our My Parent & Moi program.
​
Can my nanny come instead of me?
Yes, we welcome any nannies, friends and family members to bring your child to My Parent & Moi class if you have no other choice. We want your child to benefit from socializing with other children.

Are other parents welcome to attend the class?
Yes, absolutely! We welcome everyone to our class.
​
My child is sick. Can I still come with him/her to class?
We want your child to feel comfortable in class. Please do not bring your child if he/she is not feeling his/her best.

How often are your toys/material cleaned?
We sanitize all toys and materials after each class.
​
Why are there some weeks when there is no class?
We schedule classes according to the School's calendar and instructor availability.
