Adult French Learning Program

We are happy to announce that the very first fall session of Oui Learn French Also!

All About Our Program

We are excited to announce our new French language program designed specifically for adults! This initiative responds to the growing interest within our community for adult French language instruction.

​

Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, our classes offer a structured yet flexible learning environment. This program aims to enrich your personal and professional life by providing high-quality French instruction in the morning.

​

Each session features 8 French classes, each lasting 1.5 hours. At the end of the session, a complimentary event called "Oui Coffee" is offered, where we celebrate the achievements of the classes and chat in French.


Oui Learn French Also sessions are held separately from regular classes on campus, and is open for current parents and family members (aunts, uncles, grandparents, and more!) from our school.

Schedule - 4 sessions

Mondays (Intermediate level) – 9:00am-10:30am

Wednesdays (Conversationalist) – 9:00am-10:30am

Registration

$400 per session​

Our winter session is now available, registration due by end of day Sunday, January 5th.

Our Class Offerings

Winter Session 1

Intermediate level classes taught by Emilie Guez. The dates for 8 classes are as follows:

  • Monday, January 6th

  • Monday, January 13th

  • Monday, January 27th

  • Monday, February 3rd

  • Monday, February 10th

  • Monday, February 17th

  • Monday, March 10th

  • Monday, March 17th

Each class will run from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in-person.

At the end of the session, a complimentary event called "Oui Coffee" is offered, where we celebrate the achievements of the classes and chat in French. This event will be held on Monday, March 31st from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in-person.

Winter Session 2

Intermediate/advanced level conversationalist classes taught by Michelle Lassalas. The dates for 8 classes are as follows:

  • Wednesday, January 8th

  • Wednesday, January 15th

  • Wednesday, January 22nd

  • Wednesday, January 29th

  • Wednesday, February 5th

  • Wednesday, February 12th

  • Wednesday, February 19th

  • Wednesday, March 5th

Each class will run from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in-person.

Our Instructors

Émilie Guez

Émilie Guez was born and raised in Paris, where she studied International Law. With a deep passion for writing, Émilie made a career change a few years ago, earning diplomas in therapy, graphotherapy, and graphology, with a specialization in helping children and teenagers. Certified in drawing interpretation, she worked as a therapist in Neuilly-sur-Seine before relocating to the U.S.

​

After many years of traveling, Émilie and her family moved to the United States a year ago, where she continues to pursue her love of teaching and helping others. She brings her expertise and creativity to teaching French, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment for adult learners.

​

In her free time, Émilie enjoys reading, theater, dance, and yoga. She is excited to share her knowledge and passion for the French language with her students and looks forward to helping them achieve their language goals in a fun and immersive way.

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Do I need prior French knowledge to join the class? 
No, our classes are open to all levels! Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, the curriculum is tailored to suit different proficiency levels.

​

When are the classes offered?
Classes are held in the mornings. Check the current schedule for specific days and times.

​

What is the format of the class? 
Our classes are designed to be interactive and immersive, combining speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. You’ll engage in conversations and practical exercises to develop your French skills in a supportive environment.

​

Can I join even if I'm not a parent or affiliated with the International School of Orange County?  
As of now, the classes are only open to current members of our community.

​

How many students are in each class?
We cap each class at 12 students to ensure personalized attention and an interactive learning experience.

​

What materials will I need for the class?
We will provide all necessary learning materials, though we recommend bringing a notebook and pen. For digital learners, a tablet or laptop may also be helpful.

​

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend all classes?  
Individual classes are non-refundable as we are offering a complete session. If we must cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances, we will hold a makeup class at the end of the session.

​

Are there any additional costs beyond the course fee? No, the course fee covers all learning materials and instruction. There are no hidden fees. (Although, if you’re hoping for a free trip to Paris, we must admit—we don’t cover that either! But we promise to bring a bit of Paris to you.)

​

What if I miss a class? Can I make it up?  
Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up sessions for missed classes, but we will provide resources and materials to help you catch up on what was covered.

​

Will I receive a certificate upon completion?
Yes, all participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of achievement.
