A Very Creative 2019 Halloween

Looking at the writing and art projects that adorn our classroom walls, it’s easy to see just how creative our bilingual students are. It’s no surprise then that our 2019 Halloween parade was filled with original and imaginative costumes! As expected, our annual event was a great celebration with plenty of games, lots of fun contests, and a beautiful parade featuring our entire student body, faculty and staff members all dressed up for the occasion.

The event started right at 1:30 pm with our Kindergarten through 8th grade students enjoying some Halloween-inspired games and music. At 2:00 pm, our preschool and pre-Kindergarten students joined in for the much-anticipated parade. Everyone enjoyed the vast array of costumes, from the traditional superheroes, princesses, fairies, and movie characters to the more original custom and homemade costumes that clearly showed our students’ and staff’s great creativity and sense of humor.

Finally, we ended the afternoon with the results of our costume, pumpkin carving, and, for the first time this year, door decoration contests. The winners all welcomed their prizes with great pride and huge smiles. It is always heartwarming to see our International School of Orange County community come together to share such wonderful moments with students, teachers, staff, family, and friends.
